Project HumaneKind joined with Youth Community Service to honor National Day of Service 2023, which commemorates the attacks on September 11, 2001.
Project HumaneKind honored the memory of the canine search animals, many of whom died in the rescue operation as they accompanied rescue workers. The 17 young YCS participants learned about this life-saving service and then painted pet portraits of adoptable animals at Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority in honor of the dogs
