Kids and their parents alike loved meeting Rhea Sampson and her two rescue dogs Shannon and Travis at the Palo Alto Children’s Library the afternoon of July 11. They had a great time sharing information about their own pets and caring for them and learning about service dogs before listening to a reading of Rhea’s storybook “Saving Travis.”

The reading was followed by a singalong about love and care for all kinds of pets. Everyone had a chance to meet, greet, and pet Shannon and Travis while following safety rules for getting to know and interact with new dogs. The fun session ended with a coloring exercise featuring Shannon and Travis lookalikes.

Special thanks go to the Palo Alto Children’s Library for hosting our memorable fun event!
